The Mets are considering Orioles assistant GM Sig Mejdal as part of their ongoing search, report Dan Connolly and Britt Ghiroli of the Athletic ( Twitter link), although they caution it’s unclear as of yet whether Mejdal has interest in the position.

While Adler’s no longer in the running for the position, another candidate has emerged. For now, his decision to stay put removes another candidate for the Mets, whose search for a new baseball operations leader has already seen numerous targets either take themselves out of consideration or not receive permission from their current clubs to interview with New York.
